8 Crown, Parliament and certain international organisations

The qualifying provisions for the Crown, Parliament and certain international organisations are separate1. Crown copyright extends to works made by:

  1. 8.1

        Her Majesty; or

  2. 8.2

        an officer or servant of the Crown in the course of his duties2.

Her Majesty is the first owner of the copyright in such works3.

Her Majesty is also entitled to copyright in every Act of Parliament, Act of the Scottish Parliament, Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Measure of the National Assembly for Wales, Act of the National Assembly for Wales or Measure of the General Synod of the
