74 Material open to public inspection or on official register

There are three important exceptions to copyright protection under this heading:

  1. 74.1

        Where material is open to public inspection by reason of a statutory requirement or is on a statutory register1, the copying of so much of the material as contains factual information is permitted by or with the authority of the appropriate person2, provided that the copying is for a purpose which does not involve issuing copies to the public3.
