62 Libraries and educational establishments etc—making works available through dedicated terminals

Copyright in any type of work is not infringed by a specified institution communicating the work to the public or making it available to the public by means of a dedicated terminal on its premises, subject to certain conditions1. The specified institutions are: libraries, archives, museums and educational establishments2. The conditions are that the work or a copy of the work:

  1. 62.1

        has been lawfully acquired by the institution;

  2. 62.2

        is communicated or made available to individual members of the public for the purposes of research or private study;
