6 Place of transmission

A broadcast qualifies for copyright protection if it is made from a place in:

  1. 6.1

        the United Kingdom1; or

  2. 6.2

        a country to which the relevant provisions of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 Part I extend2; or

  3. 6.3

        a country to which an Order under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 Section 159 relates3.

For broadcasts4 made between 1 June 1957 and 1 December 1996, the place from which such broadcasts were made shall be regarded as, in the case of satellite transmission, the place from which the signals carrying the broadcast are transmitted
