55 Anthologies for educational use

The inclusion of a short passage from a published literary or dramatic work in a collection intended for use in educational establishments1 does not infringe the copyright in the work if the following conditions are satisfied:

  1. 55.1

        its title describes it as a collection for use in educational establishments as do any advertisements for it issued by or on behalf of the publisher2;

  2. 55.2

        the collection consists mainly of non-copyright material3;

  3. 55.3

        the work from which the passage is taken is not intended for use in educational establishments4;
