It is an infringement of copyright in a work to make, import into the United Kingdom, possess in the course of a business or sell or let for hire, or offer or expose for sale or hire without the licence of the copyright owner, an article specifically designed or adapted for the making of copies of that work if the person knows or has reason to believe that it will be used to make infringing copies1.
