24 Works of co-authorship

A work produced by the collaboration of the author of a musical work and the author of a literary work, where the two works are created in order to be used together, is a ‘work of co-authorship’ for the purposes of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 Part I1. This has been introduced into UK law with effect from 1 November 2013 by regulations2, implementing Directive 2011/77/EU.
