211 Publication right

The implementation in the United Kingdom of parts of an EC Directive1 on 1 December 1996 created a new right in works first published after the expiry of any copyright subsisting in it2.

Where a work3 is first published4 in the EEA and the first publisher is at that time an EEA national, the first publisher shall have a property right known as publication right5 equivalent to copyright6.
