165 Right of seizure

A copyright owner or any person authorised by him may seize and detain an infringing copy of a work which is found exposed or otherwise immediately available for sale or hire and in respect of which he would be entitled to apply for an order for delivery up1. This right is subject to some important conditions2:

  1. 165.1

        notice of the time and place of the proposed seizure must be given to a local police station prior to seizure3;

  2. 165.2

        a person may for the purposes of carrying out a seizure under this provision enter premises4 to
