143 Licences for reprographic copying

In considering a reference or application relating to the licensing of reprographic copying of published literary, dramatic, musical or artistic works, or the typographical arrangements of published editions, the Tribunal must have regard to:

  1. 143.1

        the availability of published editions of the works in question;

  2. 143.2

        the proportion of the work to be copied; and

  3. 143.3

        the nature of the use to which the copies are likely to be put1.

The copying of large proportions of a book which is in print can adversely affect sales. If, however, only small sections are required
