102 Recording for purposes of supervision and control of broadcasts and other services

It is not an infringement of copyright for the BBC to make and use copies of programmes broadcast by them for the purposes of maintaining supervision and control of such programmes1. Anything done by broadcasting bodies or licence holders or regulatory bodies pursuant to certain provisions of the Broadcasting Act 1990 and Broadcasting Act 1996 and the Communications Act 2003 is not an infringement of copyright2.
