86 The decision

The Secretary of State1 must notify the promoting authority2, the statutory objectors3 and anyone who appeared at the inquiry and asked to be notified of his decision and the reasons for it in writing4. The reasons for the decision must be proper and adequate5 and clear and intelligible6. Where a copy of the inspector’s report is not sent with the notification of the decision, the notification should be accompanied by a statement of his conclusions and any recommendations.
