59 Statutory powers subject to control in streets

Powers are given to local authorities, companies, undertakers1 and private individuals by various statutes to break up or interfere with highways and bridges for the purpose of carrying out street works. An undertaker also has a duty to reinstate a street where street works are carried out2.
