96 Application of European Union law to the precedents in this title

It is important, when considering any of the precedents, to take account of the provisions of European Union law and the possibility of contravention. For example, the licensing of merchandising rights within the European Union should not in any manner prevent the free movement of goods manufactured by the licensor or licensee (or on their behalf) between member states by, for example, dividing up the European Union into territories and preventing one licensee from selling in another’s territory.
