76 USA: international treaty obligations

The United States of America is a signatory to the Berne Convention, the Universal Copyright Convention, the Beijing Treaty, the Brussels Convention, the Marrakesh VIP Treaty, the Phonograms Convention, the WIPO Copyright Treaty and the WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty.

Although the USA accords reciprocal protection to works which originate in states with which it has assumed obligations pursuant to the various copyright and related rights treaties, the scope of this protection is expressly limited and does not confer the full protection accorded by international treaty.
