409 Rebates and commissions

A company which is a party to a production financing and distribution agreement may seek to trade on an arm’s length basis as opposed to trading on the best obtainable commercial terms, and may hold off out of account all rebates or credits received. Volume discounts from laboratories and advertising agencies may be substantial.
