384 Delivery obligations

Distribution agreements generally contain provisions dealing with the method of delivery of product, and the period in which items of product are required to be delivered. The method of delivery may be delivery to the premises of the distributor, or delivery ex-works, FOR-FOT, FOB-airport, FAS, FOB, C&F, CIF, ex-ship, ex-quay and frontier duty paid. All the above expressions have an international standard meaning and are defined in 'INCOTERMS' published by the International Chamber of Commerce1.
