379 Basis of calculation of distribution commission

The starting point for the calculation of a distributor’s commission will usually be the amount of gross receipts generated, since the distributor will normally be entitled to receive a commission which is a percentage of this amount. If the distribution agreement is drafted from the point of view of the distributor, then the definition of gross receipts may be linked to receipts ‘at source’ which would lead to the company paying more by way of commission.
