334 Co-production

A further way of raising production finance is for a producer to enter into a co-production arrangement. Co-production arrangements may be national, international or multi-lingual and may be divided into three basic forms: first, a full co-production where the partners jointly develop finance and implement a project; second, a joint acquisition arrangement where one company may simply pre-buy certain territorial rights in a project without any artistic control over it; third, a co-financing arrangement where one partner may inject cash as an equity investor in return for a share in the copyright and the proceeds without any acquisition
