Generally arrangements for the production of films involve more than one financier/investor, and there will often be more than two parties to a production financing and distribution agreement. Frequently, a producer will, before the commencement of production, have obtained agreement from a theatrical distributor or broadcaster to acquire rights in the film by way of pre-sale, and any company acquiring rights in such a way may wish to be made a party to the production agreement for the film.
