257 Distribution of PRS income

The PRS for Music is affiliated to performing right societies and mechanical right societies throughout the world and receives income from such societies in respect of the foreign exploitation of performing rights. All income received by the PRS for Music is categorised into distribution ‘pools' or sections and then applied according to the entitlement of each PRS for Music member. The PRS for Music accounts direct to its members, and a composer of works in which the performing right or mechanical right is administered by the PRS for Music will therefore receive income derived from
