256 Film synchronisation right

In addition to the performing right in a work, the PRS also administers the film synchronisation right in works. The film synchronisation right is the right to authorise the inclusion of a work in synchronisation with or in timed relation to a film. This right vests in the PRS in respect of every work composed or written by a member of the PRS primarily for the purpose of a particular film or films which were in contemplation when the work was commissioned.
