25 Brazil: use of intellectual works and phonograms

Brazilian legislation contains important provisions covering the use of intellectual works. These provisions are grouped into eight categories dealing, respectively with publication, communication to the public, use of a three-dimensional work, use of a photographic work, use of a phonogram, use of an audio-visual work, use of a database and use of a collective work.

The categories relating to publication, communication to the public and audio-visual works contain extensive provisions which are summarised separately below. The remaining categories are summarised in this Paragraph.
