205 Equitable remuneration and rental right generally

This title deals with the topics of equitable remuneration and rental right under the sections relating to European Union directives, copyright and performers’ rights respectively1.

The concept of ‘equitable remuneration’ did not exist in UK copyright law until the implementation of Council Directive (EEC) 92/100 which has been replaced by a codified version, Council Directive (EC) 2006/115.
