Brazil is a signatory to the Berne Convention, the Universal Copyright Convention, the Marrakesh VIP Treaty, the Phonograms Convention and the Rome Convention. The principal copyright laws of Brazil are Law No. 9.609 of 19 February 1998 on the Protection of Intellectual Property of Software, its Commercialisation and Other Provisions, Law No. 9.610 of 19 February 1998 on Copyright and Neighbouring Rights and Law. No. 10.753 of 30 October 2003 on the Brazil National Book
