171 Right to be identified as author of work

The author of a copyright literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work and the director of a copyright film have the right to be identified as the author or director of the work1. The right applies only to copyright works which qualify for protection under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 19882. The rights do not extend to the creator of sound recordings, broadcasts or typographical arrangements of published editions.
