156 Mortgages of copyright and database right

A mortgage of copyright or database right may be effected by means of an assignment of the copyright or database right with a proviso for re-assignment on redemption. An assignment of copyright or database right by way of mortgage will generally not provide sufficient security by itself, and mortgage documents will normally also include provisions dealing with intangible rights (such as things in action, rights of action, know-how etc), film materials (such as original film materials, sound recordings, script etc) and other materials.
