155 Transfer of rental right

Where an agreement relating to film production is concluded between an author and a film producer, the author is presumed, unless the agreement provides to the contrary, to have transferred any rental right in the film to the film producer, even though the transfer may not be in writing1. This provision applies in relation to agreements concluded before and after 1 December 1996 but does not apply to authors of the screenplay, the dialogue or music written specifically for the film unless the relevant agreement was entered into before 1 December 19962
