116 Legal deposit laws in the rest of the world

Since 1 January 1978 all works published in the United States of America with a copyright notice have been subject to the mandatory legal deposit requirement of the United States Copyright Act. When the USA acceded to the Berne Convention on 1 March 1989 the reference to the copyright notice was removed from the mandatory deposit provision.
