107 Council Directive (EC) 2006/115 on rental right and lending right and on certain rights related to copyright in the field of intellectual property (codified version)

Council Directive (EC) 2006/115 makes provision for a right for authors of copyright works, performers, phonographic producers and film producers to authorise or prohibit the rental or lending of their works, performances, phonograms and films respectively1. The right is not exhausted by the sale or other act of distribution of the original or other copy of the copyright work or performance of phonogram or film2. Rental and lending rights may be transferred or assigned
