37.2 Code of Market Conduct

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)’s Code of Market Conduct provides guidance on the Market Abuse Regulation1 and is therefore designed to help those who want to avoid engaging in market abuse or want to determine whether they are required to report a transaction order to the FCA as being a suspicious transaction2. It does not exhaustively describe all types of behaviour that may indicate market abuse or all the factors to be taken into account in deciding whether behaviour amounts to market abuse and points out that the absence of a factor mentioned does not,
