168 Introduction

Where a takeover involves the purchase of all, or a substantial part of, the shares of a public company, many of the considerations which are relevant to the takeover of a private company apply, for example, compliance with the provisions of the Companies Act 2006, the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the Financial Services Act 2012, including:
