49.4 General notice

Where a director envisages that his company is likely to enter into a number of transactions with a company in which he is interested, or with a person who is connected to him, he may consider it rather irksome to have to declare his interest on every individual occasion. In such a case, he may decide, instead of making a declaration of interest at a directors’ meeting or using the new written notice procedure, to give general notice of his interest, that is, notice to the directors that he1:
