4: REGISTER OF PEOPLE WITH SIGNIFICANT CONTROL

146 Overview

With effect from January 2016, most1 companies have had to start keeping a register of people with ‘significant control’ over the company, the so-called ‘PSC register’2. This register includes particular information about individuals with significant control who are ‘registrable’ and particular information of registrable relevant legal entities who would have been a person with significant control if they had been individuals.

Broadly, an individual will be a person with significant control (PSC) if they (either alone or as one of a number of joint holders of the share or right in question) hold,
