128 Ordinary shares

The term ‘ordinary shares’ is not generally defined in the Companies Act 20061. It is usually applied to shares which bring with them the right to an equal division of the dividend of the company in each year, and to an equal share in any surplus assets available on the company being wound up, but otherwise carry with them no special rights.
