77 Alternative procedure for apportionment of compensation

The Lands Clauses Consolidation Act 18451 and the Compulsory Purchase Act 19652 provide that the compensation, when received, should be apportioned by the committee among the several interested persons according to their respective interests; but as in many cases this is a task beyond the powers of the committee, the Inclosure Acts of 1852 and 1854 provide an alternative procedure for compensation3.
