73 Compensation to freeholder

Negotiations for the acquisition of the rights of the freeholder on the one hand and the commoners on the other are carried out separately1, unless the graziers2 happen also to own the freehold. The compensation in respect of the ownership of the soil is paid to the freeholder, and is assessed in the same manner as it is assessed in the case of land not subject to rights of common3.
