57 Enforcement

Where works are carried out without consent any person, including a local authority, corporate and other bodies (such as charities), may apply to the county court1. The court may make an order for removal of the works and restoration of the land to the condition it was in before the works were carried out2. Where consent has been given but the works have not been carried out in accordance with any term of that consent, the order may specify how the works should be carried out and subject to what conditions3.
