37 Temporary severance of right of common

Existing rights of common may be severed on a temporary basis from the land to which they are attached by letting or licensing the right without the land or letting or licensing the land whilst retaining the right1. An order has been made permitting the leasing or licensing of a right of common, or part of a right of common, for grazing on its own to a third party for not more than two years (England)2.
