24 Mistakes under the Commons Registration Act 1965

24.1 Non-registration of common land

The Commons Act 2006 enables the registration of land which was specifically recognised by earlier statutes as common land or town or village green within the meaning of the Commons Registration Act 1965 but was omitted from the register1.

A registration authority must register as common land any land which2:

  1. 24.1.1

        was not at any time finally registered as common land or as a town or village green under the Commons Registration Act 1965;

  2. 24.1.2

        is land which is:

    1. (a)

          regulated by an Act made under the Commons Act
