21 Deregistration and exchange21.1 GeneralThe provisions of the Inclosure Act 1845 which provided for the exchange of land have been repealed1. In England and Wales there are now in force powers under Sections 16 and 17 of the Commons Act 20062 for the exchange of land registered as common land or a town or village green with the consent3 of the Secretary of State4.
