19 Registration of rights of common

The Commons Act 2006 contains several sections dealing with the registration of rights of common. New rights attached to land may be created, provided the land is not already registered as a town or village green1. However, in order to be exercisable the rights must be registered2. Although rights may be varied3, apportioned4 attached to land5, reallocated where part of the dominant land is developed for non-agricultural use6, surrendered and extinguished7, with limited exceptions, they may no longer be severed from the land to which they were attached8.
