89 Directors: appointment

A commonhold association must have at least two directors. There is no maximum. A director need not be a member of the association1. A director will in future have to be a ‘natural person’ as opposed to a ‘legal person’2. Under current laws, a director can be either a ‘natural person’ or a ‘legal person’.

Where the commonhold community statement gives the developer development rights which include the right to appoint and remove directors, the articles will give the developer rights to appoint directors3.
