84 Commonhold association: name

The name of a commonhold association must meet the requirements specified by regulations made under the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 20021 and must also comply with the Companies Act 2006. The requirements of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, and the Companies Act 2006 requirements which are particularly relevant to commonhold associations, are:

  1. 84.1

        the name may not include the word ‘limited’ or its abbreviation or their Welsh equivalents, except at the end2;

  2. 84.2

        the name of the association may not be the same as that of another company3
