65 Compensatory leases

A compensatory lease is a lease granted to a person who was the holder of a lease of all or part of the commonhold before its registration, and whose consent would have been required to the registration of the commonhold had he not been entitled to be granted a compensatory lease1. Registration of the commonhold will have resulted in the extinguishment of his lease at the end of the transitional period (where registration was without unit-holders) or on registration (where registration was with unit-holders)2.
