63 Leases of units generally

There are special provisions which apply to the leasing of residential commonhold units1. This paragraph deals with provisions applicable to the leasing of any unit or part of a unit, whether residential or not2.

It is clear that the commonhold community statement may regulate the grant of a lease of a non-residential unit3. There is no similar provision in respect of the letting of residential units. It may therefore be felt to be preferable that the commonhold community statement, rather than regulating the grant of leases of residential units, should impose on lessees whatever obligations
