The transferee of a commonhold unit becomes liable to the commonhold association for any arrears of commonhold assessment or reserve fund contributions outstanding at the time of the transfer to him1. An intending transferee will no doubt make appropriate enquiries of his seller2.
In addition, the commonhold association is required to provide, at a unit-holder’s request, a ‘commonhold unit information certificate’. This certificate is to be provided within 14 days of being requested3.
