49 Rights and remedies of unit-holders

The commonhold community statement confers rights and imposes duties on individual unit-holders, and also contains provision for the enforcement of rights and duties1.

The directors of the commonhold association have considerable powers in relation to the commonhold, and are able to exercise most of the powers of the association. If unit-holders wish to limit the powers of directors beyond the limitations contained in the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 or in the articles of the association, they may pass a special resolution imposing the desired restriction2.
