48 Licensees and other occupiers

Rights and duties imposed by the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 and regulations made under it, either directly or through the commonhold community statement, apply to unit-holders. Those rights and duties also apply, where the commonhold community statement so provides, to the tenants (and subtenants) of units and persons in occupation of units by virtue of home rights1.

There is, however, no statutory provision which enables the commonhold community statement to confer rights or impose duties on any other category of occupier.
