For the enjoyment of his unit, a unit-holder is likely to need rights of access, rights in respect of drains and services and so on over adjoining units and over the common parts of the commonhold; other unit-holders and the commonhold association are likely to require rights over his unit1. In a leasehold development, or in a non-commonhold freehold development, these would be the subject of the grant and exception and reservation of easements. In the case of a commonhold development, these matters need to be dealt with in the commonhold
